Departmental Life
Stepping in NTUEE, I was overwhelmed by conspicuous activities with curiosity and enthusiasm:
Participation in NTUEE orientation camp, barbecuing, karaoke, musical play and chicken barbecue tournament render me to get involved in my NTUEE family gradually.
Carrying out my talent of guitar and drums, I performed solely and in chorus during EE week, which is annually held a week at big square in our university to feature our department, as well as EE rock stage with band performance.
As National Taiwan University’s most prominent and spacious act, EE night was my outstanding stage to present myself. I was elected as one of leading actors in sophomore drama, as only 7 actors in total. We have an extraordinary horror drama which stood as grand finale at EE night.
Departmental Life

Moreover, in my college life, I devoted myself to the primary and most significant activities in NTUEE, summer camp and orientation camp. In my first summer vacation in college, I was elected to be the counselor of NTUEE summer camp held for high school students to learn more about NTUEE. While hanging out with high school students, I learned to be a counselor who conducted games and instructions, cultivated communication skills with strangers and of breaking the ice. In addition, I was also an activity designer of NTUEE orientation camp held for freshmen ready to get in NTUEE. Activity design entitled dance, drama and game planning with a view to handling the entire camp and providing these high school students a marvelous summer vacation. As for me, it was the experiences that not only proffered precious knowledge of preparation in a camp but more respect and toleration of various opinions and team cooperation.
In my third year of college, I was honorably selected as the even general coordinator and chief leader of 2015 NTUEE summer camp. With approximate half-year preparation, from advertisement, planning, site decision to worker recruitment, every detail solicited a sense of perseverance that rendered me into an expertise of leader with leadership and crisis handling ability. Beyond communication, I discussed with my group and industriously design of schedule every day in camp. Eventually, I led over 150 personnel to build up the entire NTUEE summer camp! Fulfilling my dream and reciprocate my department.
Volunteering
Volunteering is a marvelous expression of benevolence and generosity in humanity. With integrity, faith in justice and sympathy, I was always expecting a happiness equivalence existing in entire world, particularly fond of smile of kids. Hence, right after entrance of college, I participated in Sunny-Coconut Social Volunteering Club. During weekend, I dropped by the remote to keep company with aboriginals or economy-inferior kids. I took the position of chief director of planning, conducting the entire activities during semesters: every weekend with half day study programs or activities to play with children and teach them homework. During summer, I was also in the position in Intra-Association affairs, providing assistance in club summer camp in remote places. Finally, I was elevated to the experienced veteran of the club in junior year. In the process, enjoying the rejoice of accompanying children prompts me to serve more. Additionally, while in high school, I devoted myself to participation in dancing and singing with the elderly in Taipei Young Women Christian Association. For me, they are conceived as reciprocation with societies, self-identity elevation and even the joy of giving.
Besides domestic volunteering, I had also been to Nepal in sophomore summer as an international volunteer to remote tribes with paucity of water and electricity. Assistance in planting and water resources inquiry were supported, environment conservation concept and eternal development delivered to the residents. Moreover, an unfortunate earthquake recently elicited more help and attention from the globe, which made me realize the rationale of being a volunteer. Perhaps as a college student with constrained ability, seeing the smile on their countenances could just be my motivation to become a volunteer.
Penchants and Specialty
Due to fancy in guitar and jazz drums, I participated in NTU rock club and formed a peer band with music fascination and performances on the stage. Volunteering drew my sophomore year in service clubs. Then, I spent my last two years in guitar club, coffee club, and photography club to explore my interests.
In sports, I participated in various sports activities with substantial enthusiasm and experiences as former swimming school team member. Badminton and dancing courses were taken. In addition, I drew my expertise in departmental badminton team and won various tournaments championship. Among outdoor activities, I specialize in basketball most and play a lot in leisure time.
Internship
Among academic activities, business and marketing have also been my interest in ability cultivation besides my specialized academics. Therefore, I went to NTU management winter camp held by National Taiwan University Department of Finance to learn knowledge of business. Also I join the Delegate of Taiwan Model APEC 2014 in sophomore summer. Through business knowledge and self-opinion expression in English, I substantiated my ability in negotiation and logical defense, also as a former member of English debate club in high school.
Internship, has always been the milestone that a student turns his step into industries. Therefore, I grabbed the opportunities when sophomore. GETAC corp. Taiwan, a company dealing with computer and auxiliary components manufacturing, became my first stop. As an intern, I dived into Product Design Service Center with other 7 senior engineers to design a project with Industrial Technology Research Institute. Project entailed a design of baby infrared monitor which could supervise a infant movement. The central process unit comprised raspberry pi which was the main part for me to develop. During the process, I learned every aspect of embedded systems and hardware as well as software design. Overall, Research and Development department designing exterior shells integrated units into marketable products. The project flourished my knowledge and human resources of industries.
